I will be visiting Budapest and Vienna in December. I am hoping to visit some
shoe stores while there.
Could you suggest where I should look to go ?
Also is there other bespoke craftsmen I should visit while
there ?
Thanks & Regards
Kevin

Smoothjazzone did a nice write-up of Vienna.
Off the top of my head, Vienna has Maftei and Balint, Budapest has Vass and Koronya. There are many others.

Most notably, R. Scheer u. S. If money is no object, this seems (from what I've read and seen, and from what other Loungers have written) to be the best shoemaker in either city.

I have personal experience with Maftei, in the first district. They are good. Also, Scheer, Materna, Blint and Reiter are in Vienna-I have no personal experience with these makers, but they have a good reputation. Try Vass in Budapest. I have no personal experience, yet, buy I have seen their work-it is good. The prices are good at Maftei and Vass. I hope it helps.

Materna has a web-page (of sorts), but no internet connection
(I’m old, that internet is all too modern for me!).

Unless things have changed in the last two years, the shop
is open on Saturdays, till midday or 1 p.m.
