What would you suggest? Full, half or quarter lined, given the nature of Shetland tweed?

I have a Shetland sportcoat the only superstructure of which is a very light canvas, no shoulder padding or wadding at all. Because it is fully lined, including the sleeves, with a substantial bemberg, it is going strong after almost 15 years of wear. I suspect that with any less lining it would have died some time ago.
