Tabarro

I have one of these bought directly from the factory near Venice.
I love the feeling wearing such a kind of archetypal outdoor clothing and also its romantic aura.
Similar styles can be found in Salzburg but they are the classical loden cloaks.
Tabarro is something different...there is 3 times the fabric you'll find in a loden cloak.
People are surprised, a little suspicious sometimes incredulous looking at me wearing my Tabarro...

Andrea

You will find an article on the LL about the Tabarro and the makers near Venice. I find their works particularly pleasing and once contacted them about making a Tabarro in tweed, like one I saw Noiret wear one day. I do mean to follow up on that project when I have some time.

Cheers

I really like the look of the tabarro. I own a spanish cape and although I don't wear it very often (specially with the increasingly hot weather), but when I do I get all sorts of odd glances, and I only wear them to formal, serious or classic events (classical music concerts, formal dinners) where the publics are most open to this kind of archaism.

Would a Tabarro be suitable for a LL limited edition?
