The first pictures of Giancarlo Bonfanti’s shirtings are in the Photojournal for viewing by our members. We are working on how to present the fabrics in a better way and by the next edition we will have made some progress. The technical details of each of the fabrics will be identified along with the pictures etc.

If you have any comments or suggestions, please do let us know.

As many of you know, acquiring top quality shirting is only the beginning of the bespoke process. One has to hand the goods over to a shirtmaker who is willing to work with customer supplied cloth. And where does one find these shirtmakers? In the future, LL members will be able to locate them in the Camicia Craftsmen section of the site: an online catalog and index of shirtmakers around the globe.

The Camicia Craftsmen project is a considerable undertaking and one requiring a bit of work so it won’t happen overnight. Our first installment, for those who acquire cloth this Spring, will be the CC guide to the hidden shirtmakers of Naples. The list will include nine craftsmen tucked away in the corners of Naples not often explored by the internet. Do you want to avoid the expensive tourist traps? You have always wanted to know the whereabouts of the shirtmaking equivalents of Antonio Ambrosi? You would likely want to know where shirts can be hand made to your measures for 80-150 euros? Stay tuned and participate in the Camicia Club.
