Belts vs Braces

I'm interested in what LL members prefer as a form of suspending their trousers: belts or braces. There are some loose bits of discussion about the pros and cons of each, but I would like to see them together here, so please expose your views on the subject, and feel free to state why you particularly prefer one or the other.
PS: I wrote prefer in the poll question because I understand some will use and alternate both, in which case vote for the one you prefer or use the most.

I think generally belts don't make fans, as braces tend to. Belt wearers definitely outnumber brace wearers (the proportions might be somewhat different among LL members, but I don't expect things to be the other way round here as the poll shows so far). But fans vote!
I prefer braces for suit trousers that need to stay in place no matter how you move and IF the trousers are cut for braces (full, high-waisted), I find the difference in comfort huge.
For summerware or odd and sports trousers destined to informal occasions when the jacket might come off or be left at home alltogether, I prefer side tabs.
(Semi)formal wear, of course, doesn't take belts at all.
Conversely, there are types of trousers that actually require a belt to look good: chinos, blue jeans etc.; for those who like wearing them, there is no alternative to a good belt.
A less than ideal silhouette might be the only objective factor recommending braces over belts. Beyond that, one's predilection probably has a lot to do with the kind of clothes one wears mostly.

Though not an option, I prefer side tabs in the case of suit or odd trousers.
