1959, french style!

Mr. Alden had a post some while ago about similar suits in french movies of that time.
Here are some samples from an old Rundschau:
This type of style wasn't very popular elsewhere, it seems.
Most designs were considered to be very avantgardistic, especially in Germany( at least by german bespoke tailors) it was not well liked. The slightly wider than usual shoulders just looked better on young customers than on the older ones, which have been in a vast majority. Maybe that's why this very special french way of style and cut has disappeared.
