On a bespoke jacket, what would be the minimum distance between the last sleeve buttonhole and sleeve hem?

My tailor uses 3.5 centimeters, which looks perfect for me. I wouldn't recomend a much smaller distance since the sleeve could begin to like like it had been shortened.
