My laundry or my shirtmaker?

A few months ago, I had a number of shirts come back from the laundry with frayed collars. Almost without exception, the fraying was at the top of the collar in the back -- i.e., where the collar folds down behind my neck. I chalked this up to poor work by the laundry and took my business elsewhere. But because all of the frayed shirts were Turnbull & Asser bespoke (and none of my other shirts frayed in the same way), I was wondering whether I my judgment about the laundry may have been too harsh. Indeed, I've recently stopped buying shirts from Turnbull & Asser because their quality has been all over the map.
