I just found this photo of Carlo Brandelli and I fell in loe with his tie.

Since I don't live anywhere near where I can get any kilgour clothes, and I enjoy making some of my own ties, I was curious if anyone had seen a similar tie like this, and could tell me how it was put together? Mostly I'm curious as to if the fabric was just woven that way with the two colours, or if they are seperate peices because that would obviously be easier for me to replicate. Thank you for anyone who can give me some advice

There's a shop called Diverso (one in Fulham, one on St. Christopher's Place) that makes ties out of multiple pieces of silk with a similar effect. I can't tell you any more than that though.

I imagined it would have to be that way, creating specially measured fabric sounds like it would cost kilgour a fortune. I'm going to give it a try with multiple peices and see what happens. If anyone else knows anything about this please let me know
