"Horseshoe" Style Heel on Bespoke Shoes

Hello gentlemen. I'm new to the LL ranks and look forward to becoming an active member of this community.
Here are two images of the French actor Vincent Cassel wearing some summer-ready mocs with a unique "horseshoe" style heel.
Can anyone name this style of shoe (in particular, the heel) or perhaps recognize its maker? John Lobb, London agreed to duplicate the shoe for me but I would prefer to commission a pair from the original source if possible. Any help or comments on the shoes are much appreciated.

As the logo on the heel shows, they're Tod's.

The crabby NY shoe maker Roman Vaingauz makes his heels this way. He says it prevents people from losing their balance from stepping on a rock.

Thanks for your replies. Good eye on spotting the Tod's logo. I'll have to make my bespoke pair extra special to set them apart. I like the look of the heel though, maybe it will save me a sprained ankle.
Cheers.

I have those shoes-I like them. Very light, and they have style. When I first got them, I thought they might be awkard to walk in but they're not

spybat,
Where'd you get those photos? Are they from an Ocean's movie? (I would assume not, as there wouldn't be much reason to zoom in on his heal...)

"Heel," rather. That's embarrassing.

The first is a promotional still I found on the web a while back. The second is an actual screen-capture I took from the movie. I believe I captured the image during a shot when the camera was panning upwards to reveal the actor.
I recently saw the new Ocean's Thirteen film and was a bit disappointed that Vincent was not utilized as much as in the previous film. Even though there were many well dressed characters in the film, the "Nightfox" wasn't able to sport his clean and slim tuxedos nor his Lake Como casual attire I was so fond of in Ocean's Twelve.
