Where can I get some decent ones in London? I have some RL ones but they are cut rather large.

Cordings. Cut slimmer, especially the legs, just like their moleskins.

Check out Cordings, especially if you like bright colors. There are lots of other places also -- Dax, Hackets, Roderick Charles, and pretty much every Jermyn Street and New/Old Bond Street shop.

If I chose to go bespoke, is there any particular book I should look at?

Look at Scabal, Holland & Sherry, and perhaps LP.

Besides corduroy and moleskin, what other cotton cloths are suitable for casual trousers that are good for travel (ie: washable, can be worn with an odd jacket, jumper, durable). Seasonal suggestions are welcome.

I find corduroy not that durable for travel...where some cloth pills, it shouldn't happen with good cloth. I find even high quality corduroy will often have the ribbing wear off quite quicky...in my case a patch between the thighs.

I think cotton moleskin, whipcord or serge to be fine.

try some wear like levi's or orban outfitter on oxford street they might have something by dockers, diesel will have some it just depend on how cool/ fashion you want to go, apart from that you might want to consider good old M&S apart from that like what other have mentioned cording et al!

Cording's cotton drills are good. I bought a pair last week (white) and find the cut very satisfactory. They're a good spring / English summer trouser. There's also a good range of colours - tending towards the lighter side of things.

I can't agree with any of these recommendations. Corduroy slacks are one of the best "excuses" to go bespoke. Almost all corduroy you will see from fine makers (both garment and fabric brands) is manuafactured by Brisbane Moss. If you get their heaviest corduroy made up into trousers, you have a truly wonderful garment and you will see why corduroy is such a wonderful cloth. I find lighter corduroy to be just....dirty. Ditto these remarks for moleskin. I have a pair made up of each, in the heaviest weights available, and I would say they are two garments about which I have no regrets, and I would recommend to anyone.

Which book did you use for your bespoke corduroy and moleskin trousers?

I have no idea and it doesn't matter. They are all from Brisbane Moss more or less. Just go for the heaviest, which is 22 oz I think in corduroy a d 15 oz in moleskin (sic?), I am more certain about the corduroy than I am the moleskin. I know Porter and Harding offer them but Harrisons also.
