Same tailor, different styles

Is it the case that you might have different jackets made by the same tailor in different styles according to each jacket's funtion? For example, might you have a summer jacket made in a slightly softer silhouette than for your business suits, so that it looks more casual? Or do SR tailors tend to favour the same style whatever the function?
