Hi everyone-

I want to first thank you for admitting me as a guest. I have been searching for a supplier of a correct pique bow tie for quite some time. Pre-tied bow ties as well as adjustable tie-your-own ties are available everywhere, but I have been unable to find a non-adjustable, non-pre-tied tie for evening dress. If anyone could point me to one either in the Midwest or on the internet I would be greatful.

They're not local or high-tech, but if you can get the phone number for Budd in the Burlington Arcade (or is it Piccadilly Arcade), London, you will likely find what you need.

If that doesn't pan out, Ede & Ravenscroft might also do.

As a last resort, Turnbull & Asser might be able to help.

I would endorse Budd as being your best choice; that's where I purchased both my black and white bow ties. They stock a full range of lengths. 'Phone: 020 7493 0139 (obviously that's without any dialing code).

New & Lingwood probably stock them too: their number is 020 7493 9621 - or you could try e-mailing.

Best of luck!

You can purchase a non-adjustable, non-pre-tied pique bow tie also from Marinella - Naples:I have bought one some years ago and it is really splendid for my dinner suit. You can contact them at marinella@marinellanapoli.it nd ask how to get one.
