Anyone know of any bespoke tailors/cutters/designers in the Atlanta area? Or even one of the southeastern states of the U.S.?

All I can find are guys who say "yeah I'll make you a suit from scratch," and then they just turn out to be made-to-measure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Desmond Merrion, a UK tailor is considering trips to Atlanta. http://www.desmerrionbespoketailor.com/ ... /20061025/

Dege, another UK tailor, travels to Atlanta as well as Middelburg, VA and Palm Beach, FL. You just missed their recent swing through, but here is their schedule that was: http://www.dege-skinner.co.uk/tailoring/travel2.htm

I imagine many of the other traveling UK tailors pass through Atlanta or cities in the broader region and you should have no trouble finding their websites.

I have no information about any resident tailors in your area. Sorry.

I've just been through this whole process in Atlanta myself. MTM is all you're going to find. Guffey's does Oxxford MTM, but at the price you'll pay you could commission a bespoke garment.

Thomas Mahon is definitely the best option. I'm seeing him November 10th for a two-piece.

Edgar Pomeroy doesn't have a good reputation among most people I've spoken to. I'm not even sure he's in business anymore. No personal experience though.

I'm also trying to get Desmond Merrion to come to Atlanta.

Hope this helps!

Chris

Henry Poole http://www.henrypoole.com/our_visits/usa#visits is in Atlanta at least twice a year. As I am further south, I usually meet with them in New Orleans or Houston, and have always been pleased with their work.
