Can anyone recommend a good bespoke tailor in or around the Atlanta area?

Is Edgar Pomeroy still in business?
I believe that he is not full fledged bespoke in his suits are made by a CMT house in NYC. He had some distninctive, exclusive cloths.

The name has come up a few times and I have found an address/phone number, but no website. I'll give the number I have a call and see what happens. Thanks for your help!

Unless his site's changed recently, it used to be
www.edgarpomeroy.com.
Pomeroy used to have a tailor onsite that helped with fittings, etc.; the clothes themselves were made by Greenfield in Brooklyn. Pomeroy "designs" the suits. The look is very "dandified," and I don't necessarily mean that in the best sense of the word. Think pinstriped suits with patch pockets and Norfolk backs. Nevertheless, he used to have a small but lovely collection of accessories - woven ties, Thurston braces, pocket squares, etc. I would say it runs along the lines of Flusser's NYC shop. Not as expensive as Flusser, though, or I should say wasn't at one time.
Pomeroy's rather a character, and comes across as very stiff, to my mind. It's hard to tell if he's playing the part of the ultra-fussy elitist, or taking the piss. Just so you know up front....

Oh, the last time I visited, Pomeroy had the usual books of Lesser, H&S, some Smith, and some Scabal, I believe. He fudges on whether the clothing is truly custom or MTM, but I very much suspect the latter.

Thanks masterfred. Your info will come in handy when I drop in to visit Mr. Pomeroy.

Guffey's (
http://www.guffeys.com) near Lenox Square Mall does MTM & custom. The fabric books I saw were Dormeuil and St. Andrews.
I have not had anything made there.
