Linen Jacket Lapel

Dear Gentlemen:

Summer is finally here and I am looking to have an unlined, 2-button Linen jacket with patch pockets commissioned. I know that some here recommend some belly to a suit coat's lapel. Would that also be appropriate for a more relaxed jacket?

Also, did I read here recently that all jacket buttons were supposed to be the same size, rather than smaller buttons for the sleeve?
