Gentlemen;
Any opinions on the Parmigiani Kalpa XL Hebdomadaire with a black dial and leather band.
Thanks
Parmigiani Brand
Hi, the Parmigiani is a very well finished watch, with an excellent movement. It is quite under-rated amongst hard core collectors...many do not warm to the styling of the case, especially the bezel. The handwound Forma movement, form movement - movements which take the shape of the case, instead of being just round inside a tonneau or rectangular case, is particularly well regarded. The scallopined bridges are extremely well executed, the anglage even and very nicely polished, and the shape of the movement very well thought out and pleasantly laid out.
The house is owned by the Sandoz foundation, and Michael Parmigiani himself is more a restorer of old watches. They make about 1500 pieces under their own name each year. Michael himself was one of the technical brains behind the development of the Chopard LUC series, though the final work to complete that project was undertaken by Karl-Frederic Schuefle himself.

I own a parmigiani automatic in rose gold and I love it, very well made, distinctive and elegant styling.
