Hello,
I'm looking for a gun club check material for a bespoke jacket. I have seen the swatches on Holland and Sherry's website, and was wondering if there are other makers that produce nice gun club checks. I'm looking for a 3 season weight, more to the lighter side (about 10 oz), hard wearing, with a white background to be used as daytime wear for business. I will check with my tailor but wanted to do a little legwork beforehand. Thank You.

Magee of Ireland makes a nice version that is not too heavy. The online Magee Shop is now closed but you should be able to call one of their shops and have the fabric mailed to you -- pls note that it is 75cm wide so you need twice the normal length.

I am not familiar with this pattern. Can someone describe it or post an image?

Thanks.

I may be wrong, but I believe that it is either this or something very, very similar.Image

I know that the quality of Loro Piana can be a bit dubious, but I was in their shop recently and saw some bolts of gunclub that at least looked sensational.

Nice pic Matt. Yes, that's the gun club pattern. Where did you get the picture from?

It is a jacket of mine that I have had for some time now. Unfortunately, I do not have any recollection of where the fabric came from.
