Gentlemen,

I know a good many of our members, guests and visitors are interested in watchmaking. There are collectors of fine timepieces among us; and many who have detailed knowledge of the bespoke watchmaking craft.

Looking forward to reading your reports here.

I have always felt that a timepiece should be as understated as possible. The works of Patek Philippe, VC, Lange, Blancpain and other traditional makers fall into this category of elegant wristwatches.

Cheers

Glad to have the new forum. I have three new additions actually that all happened to happen at once. One is a Patek 5196 in platinum - the ultimate dress watch, I think. Another is a yellow Girard Perregaux Richevill grand date with moonphases. And finally, a 1950s Girard Perregaux dress watch with a very subtle diamond dial that I will wear with a dinner jacket. Good stuff! Hope this forum will become active.
