I have read conflicting words about mohair blend. Some say it is resilient and durable. Others say it is fragile.

Where I am in Hong Kong, average year round temperature is around low to mid 20s Celsius. That is is around 70 Fahrenheit, I think. I read that mohair is good for warmer temperatures like those found in Hong Kong, so I am very tempted to get a length of mohair/wool blend (9-10oz) and have it made up.

However, this suit will be a daily business suit, and will likely be worn weekly through 9 months of the year, with two trousers for rotation. Can a mohair/wool blend stand up to such tasks?

100% mohair is shiny, brittle and quite “fragile”, but most of the available selections offer blends of mohair and wool.
The wool percentage helps to compensate the shine and fragility of pure mohair, and as a result a top quality wool-mohair blend is in an elegant, durable and wrinkle resistant material, perfectly suited IMHO for everyday business use in mild to warm climates.
