I love to wear ascots, but when I wear them, my shirt collar spreads more than I'd like to. I have a photo of Fred Astaire (from the 1930's) wearing an ascot, but he has a chain collar stay (for lack of a better word)(very fashionable, I must say)) that holds both collars at a certan angle. I hope I have explained this correctly? I was looking for something ,like this, but as of late, have been unable to find them, even in antique stores.

Does anyone know what I am talking about and where one might find such an article?

Thank you all.

Interesting, Mr. Lewis. If you posted the photograph, some of us would, I am certain, be able to advise you well.

The photo is in a Fred Astaire book I have on "Astaire Style". I'll see if I can scan it or maybe find it on line.

Thank you
