The fit of some of these is spectacular, even though the silhouettes are not to my taste. Goes to illustrate the fact that fit and silhouette are two different things.

I always wear 60's style suits, its not really about personal taste so much as necessity, you see i'm only 5'8" with a 32" chest so the 60's slim slyle compliments my proportions,

this is very similar to the last suit i had made, I wear it with a tab collar shirt that i had made especially to go with the suit.

I love this one..Image

The pattern is obviously great, but I just love the look of the big, full sleevehead and upper sleeve in a trim jacket. It looks very much like the drawings that M. Alden posted from the tailor shop in Sicily. It is one of the few truly distinctive looks that remains personal and elegant.

Yup, that's the one that caught my eye, too.

I also like the way the coat cuts away starting from the middle button.

Altogether outstanding.

I was in my 20s during the 1960s and did wear coat and tie and suits quite a bit during that era. I was never over-fond of the prevailing styles, the narrow lapels, the very narrow ties, etc., and the narrow brimmed hats looked positively ridiculous on me. Perhaps a lot of this is because I am a big man with a broad face, and the "narrow" look favored back then did not complement my natural appearance well.
