I realize that in today's world of contrived political correctness cigarette smoking is rather frowned upon, rather alsmot a stigmata of "bad taste."

Hoever such was not the case in earlier times when every sophisticate and member of the demi-monde held a cigarette or cigarette holder between their fingers.

Cigarette smoking may have been banned from nightclubs and restaurants but I feel Luc Sante said it best: "We may all have stopped smoking but we continue to burn."

That aside, does anyone have any inclination towards cigarettes?

It is really a rather refined habit.

I'm glad someone agrees with me on this. I do smoke, and I find smoking a lot like drinking insofar as you can buy a lot cheap and not enjoy it, or you can take your time, buy well and enjoy your money.
Personally, I smoke chesterfield unfilted kings, I also like the Davidoff cigarettes, although I can never find them anywhere anymore.
As for it being a refined habit, another reference to drinking... Like cigarette smoking, drinking can be both refined (well chosen wine, scotch, whiskey...) or not so much (drinking MGD like water on a Thursday night in college towns across the US)

I have gone in and out of smoking phases. Now, I prefer rolling my own cigarettes with Turkish tobacco or a Perique blend and using a cigarette holder. The flavour is far superior to mass-market cigarettes, the abrasion on the throat lessened, and the double filtration effective in providing a cleaner smoke.

My friend recently went on a trip to London and brought back a pack of Sobranie Black Russian 100's which I very much enjoyed. Has anyone else had any experience with this brand or know of any other place where they can be purchased? I think I might have become addicted...
