Greetings all:
Has anyone ever seen side vents on an overcoat? I thought I saw them on one overcoat in the old Apparel Arts photos one time but I could be wrong. If anyone has an answer would like to hear it or better yet, see it.

Best Regards,

I own a double vented overcoat in a navy flannell with a chalk stripe from Bally - a very nice looking coat.

I only recall seeing them from Brunello Cucinelli.

The last time I recall seeing one its seems it may have been rather Matrixesque. - Long black and leather on a gentlem... er person with long black hair.

This is not to call into question the appropriateness of such a coat, but lets just say it left a bad taste in MY mouth.

I see it occasionally, more often on raincoats or on casual car-coats or 'shirt-collar' style coats.

In Ocean's Eleven, Andy Garcia's character wears one as the rival casino is being demolished - of course, it's set in Vegas, and the coat is ivory with satin peak lapels, so take from that what you will.

I think I'd prefer a center-vent, seems more practical that way.
