I was particularly taken with the picture of the Duke's overcoat with Astrakhan collar. What would be an updated version? My wife said this coat is too feminine to be warn today.

I do not feel such an item would be feminine. However, it would a certain style to pull off.

That being said, I have seen some examples from Alexander McQueen, yes a designer label, that were not bad. In a cashmere and Persian lamb collar.

I suppose, these can be had in a bespoke process.

I was more interested in a modernized design: pictures, anyone?
