Suede shoes - bad idea for first bespoke pair?

I find that ready made suede shoes can fit me well while the identical model in regular calfskin may be quite unomfortable. No doubt this is because of the softer suede uppers that conform to the shape of my feet better. Does this mean when having your first pair made by a shoemaker, suede is not a good choice since the designed last may have imperfections which won't be apparent until a subsequent calfskin pair is fitted?
Suede is inherently softer and to me also, more comfortable than calf out of the box.
Can't speak to the question re. the last.
But in getting bespoke, I would get as interesting a shoe design, rather than a generic model, as I could stand. And would get it in calf too just because I would get more use out of calf.
Who are you thinking of to make your shoes?

Hi Murali
I wouldn't say that it is a bad idea as each pair of shoes you have made by the bespoke maker should be indiviually adapted and altered to your feet depending on the style and leather that you order.
Bespoke is an on going process and even if you have been having shoes made on the same last for the last 20 years you may all of a sudden receive a pair that does not fitt as well due to different styling or leather, in that case the shoemaker should be reaproached and ask to do some alteration work.
Kind regards
Tony

Tony - Thank you for you clarifications.
uppercase - I am fortunate enough to have Tony make my shoes, or I should say, boots. The question was a general one prompted by Jona's earlier post regarding his first order with Bestetti. Reading the post, I couln't help but think that maybe I wouldn't get suede shoes as a first order but Tony's explanation clears that up since the shoemaker is responsible for getting each shoe to fit on a case by case basis.
