Can these shoe styles be worn interchangeably with tweeds, casual and country wear?

Or are there fundamental differences in usage, style and suitability?

I'll wear a chelsea in town with a herringbone. I reserve the half boots for the country.

Although all these boots are probably geared towards more causual clothing, I think the shape of the last, materials used, and the heaviness of the sole should dictate whether a particular boot should be worn with light or heavy clothes.
