Gentlemen,
Stay tuned for trip reports from Florence. It was my pleasure to spend a good deal of time with Leonardo Bugelli, Stefano Bemer and other Master artisans. Pictures and full reports to follow as soon as this weary traveller returns home.
It is my pleasure to see that both Mr. Bugelli and Bemer have joined us here. Welcome gents!
Among the highlights of the Florence visit was the discovery of a centuries old silk maker in Florence. The company that has been saved from extinction by a group of Florences noble families. The hand made silk is esquisite and yes an ascot has been made from it...stay tuned!

In anticipate of my July viist to Mr. Bugelli, noting his location in Florence, are you aware of any dining options close to his studio? I am dreading the visit during the Tourist season.

Can I hear more about Steafano Bremer, since I am allready familiar with the charming Mr Bugelli?

Ahh... Pictures... At last!
The current set of LL's pictures of Leonardo are ridiculously small in size. When I visited his studio, I had already lost my digital camera in Venice.
Now we finally have a chance to see his work in pictures each worth a thousand words.

Jan, unfortunately the true Fiorentina is still prohibited, due to Mad cow and Bruxelles regulations.
To complete the work we are expecting Bruxelles to prohibit wood-burning ovens to make bread and pizza (it's coming), along with the best matured cheeses and having deleted some of the best wines.
Please french and dutch friends vote NO to referendums.

Yes, it will be interesting to see photos, photos and more photos!
And yes, let's see how we can post them in a large size; the tiny photos are impossible.
