Hi Guys

I thought I would share with you the first fitting of the Everest Cashmere overcoat as my client kindly agreed that I could. Previously, I presented it on a mannequin so I thought you would like to see how it looked on the client. I'm really happy with the outcome and am looking forward to taking this to finish.

I'll say it time and time again, this material is beautiful to work with.

I hope you enjoy it and I look forward to seeing some of you in NY.

Bravo! In addition to what has been said in the previous post, I especially like your work on the waistline. Very harmonious and masculine.

And a minor but important detail, Folks.
This is the proper overcoat sleeve length.
Comes down over the gloves.
Keeps the cold wind from going up your wrist.

Aha! Thanks, Frank, because the sleeve length was one of the first things I noticed. I'll be going in for my first bespoke overcoat next year and now I know!

Heck, I might even bring in this picture for reference because it looks so nice.

Yes do bring a photo of this coat. It is neatly shaped and the shape is unforced. Easy. The coat is perfectly balanced as you can see by how perfectly straight the front edge falls. Like a plumb line. Notice also the very ample and practical overlap. Practical warmth. The ample overlap and proper button placement close the opening just enough to keep out the wind. Functional, Practical = Elegant as an after thought. This tailor has got it down. .. But most important..pulling this all together is the balanced pattern. If something fits it has style. I dont know this tailor but he sure aint no hack.

Welcome. The Everest 1000 gms cashmere was a creation of the LL members. The cloth is no longer available as it has sold out. Take a look at the various threads in the Clothclub forum for more details.

The tailor of this coat, Karl, in response to a PM I sent to him, sent to me a poetic response. That he develops a long term working friendship with his clients. A more personal approach. This is evident in his work. It is what is mostly missing today. "Charm", Loyalty. I'll bet his customers dont go fopping around to different tailors. FS
