Dear Friends,
I m from Shanghai China and want to make a DB navy blazer for spring/autumn and winter in WW Chan Sons.
Now I m considering Harrison Fine Classic 370g or Smith 355g from a 8.5-15oz book. Both r in 11-12 oz range. Is this should be suitbale weight for people living in Shanghai? I have made some suits before. But most of them r made by light fabrics like Zegna and Loro Piano. Only one suit using Lesser 13 oz is still in process. I dont know whether this rang weight fabric is good for spring/autumn and winter suit/blazer.
How do you think these two fabrics? Any other advice also be welcome. Great thanks!
Harrison Fine Classic or Smith 11-12 oz

I have a good friend in Shanghai who swears by both Brisa (13 ozs) and Mistral (17 ozs) for wear in that climate. So I imagine you could go up in weight if you wanted to...either the Lesser 13 ozs or the Smith's Botany 13 ozs would be a better choice overall than 11 ozs.
Cheers

Thank you for your advice. Just one question, lots of comments for Harrison Fine Classic treat it a real 13oz fabric. But I found it is labelled 370g/11-12oz in this book. How do you think that? Thanks
Cheers,
Lamar

If it is labeled 11-12 ozs, I imagine that is what it is.
