Could somebody throw some light in reference to the side vents for double breasted blazers?. I have been asking in several forums, and I get contradictory answers such as:
1- DB blazer must have tow side vents, period
2-old style blazers (20's 30's) did not have side vents
3-It is ok for italian blazers.

I think your first consideration should be your own comfort. This seemingly elemental factor is often lost in discussions that circumnavigate endlessly history and rules.

I think a set of high cut vents looks and feels great on any DB garment. And it is comfortable as well. A DB without vents may have a nice line but will be a bother to wear. And if it sits in the closet, its a bit of a shame, even if Italians in Puglia prefer them.

Cheers
