My original post was not, in any sense, a joke. I thought it a worthy cause, and one that has been at the back of my mind for some time, precisely for the reasons so eloquently expressed by Costi. I am grateful to Costi and Couch for putting flesh on the spindly bone of an idea. I am sure the various approaches suggested each have their merits, but I like the idea of associating the effort with cloth, which seems to ground it something we all care about and which is central to the tailor's life! Perhaps this would be the opportunity to get one (or more) of the "near misses" off the ground.
