I know this diverges from the intent of the thread ... but I concur with the objections to visible branding.

A while back (that's years for me) I bought a piece of Ghurka luggage for casual weekend trips. I love the size, design, construction & color ... and with the branding on the front end of the piece ... I paid too little attention to its presence at the time of purchase. But all too quickly I found myself very conscious of its being there. While its location may be less visible to me ... it's quite visible to anyone approaching ... and ultimately that's what I want to avoid ... visibility to others.
