I love the idea of trying to impose some sort of formalism and even mathematical precision on the ways of elegant dress.
I also think the task is impossible and somewhat silly.
And I don't think the two thoughts are contradictory. The exercise is enjoyable and worthwhile even if the project is hopeless.

I'm not at all ofended by this, in fact I also have those two thoughts. As I came up with the idea, I saw it inspiring but also stupid. I'll do it, because I see it usefull and I enjoy it, as you said.
