I love the idea of trying to impose some sort of formalism and even mathematical precision on the ways of elegant dress.

I also think the task is impossible and somewhat silly.

And I don't think the two thoughts are contradictory. The exercise is enjoyable and worthwhile even if the project is hopeless.

I'm not at all ofended by this, in fact I also have those two thoughts. As I came up with the idea, I saw it inspiring but also stupid. I'll do it, because I see it usefull and I enjoy it, as you said. But I know, the table should only be seen as a guide, never as something to follow strictly, just for basic guidelines and to know which possibilities are recomended or not and for what reasons.

I'm filling it up and I know already how to post it when its finished.

Godd-looking coat, except I thought strollers have velvet-covered buttons.

I think plain buttons are also acceptable (and preferable for daywear, but the latter is simply my prejudice.)
