i try to amswer the questions as good as i can.
@gng8:
Loden Green:
In the past Loden was cloured just with natural colors...the green was known as loden green.
Nowadays you can have Loden with different shades of green.But the variations are not that big.at the end of this thread i will shop some pics of my Loden clothes so you can see what i mean.

@oscarfan:
Please don`t do that with your tweed!!You will get a fabric thats stiff like a wooden plate.
And the fabric will shrink very much.
If you want Loden write me and i will happy to get you some swatches and send them to you.
Your description of the tweed sounds interesting.Can you send me a photo of it??I might be interested in.

If someone have further questions don`t hesitate to ask.

Thank you.
It is the red rust fabric here:

I am tired of corporate looking suits. So I seek more interesting patterns/fabrics.

When a woven fabric tears a weaver can repair it. Can a Loden fabric be repaired when torn or damaged?, (and if so, how)?
Thanks,
Herbert

good question arpey
to be honest , until now i NEVER saw a damaged Loden. Even very old Loden from an austrian emperor (Kaiser Franz Josef) look relativly new without any damage...
I have to ask myself

edit: look at this thread:
http://thelondonlounge.net/gl/forum/vie ... php?t=5794
where i post pictures of my Loden cloth with close ups.....
