I think you are exactly right to do this. In trying on a pair of Italian flat front trousers at a trendy store I passed today, I noted that they looked better because they had a much higher waist than many of the flat front trousers pushed in recent years as being in style, which often were too low to look right (at least on me). Perhaps waists are now coming up, in which case you are a trend setter. Long may you keep your 29" waist.I like flat fronts. I also like them cut around about the natural waist (hardly a trendy move).
