Aren't there a few other brands that have a similar business model (workshop in Romania, but marketed outside Romania)?

Certainly, RWS - as soon as I get my hands on my digital camera which I gallantly lent to a friend "for a couple of days" about two weeks ago ... :x

One of the things about the Romanian arrangement one is curious about: how does one know whether the stuff (canvas, horse hair, etc) that goes inside the jacket (and is not visible without taking the jacket apart) is durable, etc. I ask because there may not be much of a market for these materials in Romania

I cannot say. But has anyone, anywhere, had problems with their suit's becoming unwearable due to these problems? I guess in twenty years, if my suits are not wonderful, we will know.
