Bespoke...the journey begins
Stephen Hitchcock is Saville Row trained (A and S where his father is MD) and charged much less that the SR houses.
DFR,
I had researched Stephen Hitchcock; however, it would seem that he favours the soft A&S cut, while I was actually looking for something more structures along the lines of Huntsman and Richard Anderson. Ideally, my project would be a SB 1 button navy suit.

You could try visiting Terry Haste at his eponymous firm (along with Messrs. Kent and Lachter) situated one road off Savile Row at New Burlington Street. He was the former cutter and MD at Huntsman and IIRC, his suit prices are very reasonable especially given his years of experience and reputation. I was tempted to order some garments when I met him soon after the store was opened but I was in a greater rush to get them made up (as usual) than he could offer to do so at the time.
Another SR firm that I have always admired (but have not ordered from) is Chittleborough & Morgan. Lovely structured coats with style and panache in abundance and I have always found Mr. Morgan a very approachable gentleman.

Cdo,
thank you very much for your suggestion! Terry Haste seems perfect. I will be visiting him next time I am in London and report back.

I posted about Paul Kitsaros of Cleveland Street earlier in this thread. A bit of gossip... I noted at the weekend that he made the suit featured in a recent Fergus Henderson new hotel article
