Gents

I'm a happy customer of Patrizio Cappelli and have a number of his bespoke ties in my collection. I was delighted when he sent me an email informing of his upcoming Trunk Show in London:

Belgraves Thompson Hotel
20 Chesham Place
London, UK SW1X 8HQ

Sunday 6th September all day and Monday 7th September until 1pm.

If you're in town it's worth popping in. Mr Cappelli flies under the radar but I'd rate his ties as the equal of Drakes and Sam Hober. I'm certainly looking forward to ordering a few wool challis numbers for the tweed season.

I can recommend him too. I have a bespoke bow tie made by him and I am very happy with it.

I'm afraid my wife and I needed to extend our stay in Finland so I missed the Sunday date; on returning to the office on Monday I discovered 'all hell broken lose' and was unable to sneak away for a 90 minute long lunch to pay a visit :(

I don't live in London, and hence did not visit his trunk show. But, I have visited Patrizio in Naples and many of my ties are made by him. They are all excellent. I highly recommend his services.

My second bespoke bow tie by E.G. Cappelli.

Such a great service with very fair prices. I was in Napoli, chose my fabric, showed some photos of bow ties I like, than the bow tie was was cut in the necessary length and form (the length it is not adjustable as requested by me) and shipped to me to Munich. I am very happy with by 2 bespoke bow ties made by E.G. Cappelli.

P.S. Don't mind the notch lapel suit with a wing collar shirt on the photo.
- I don't own a dinner suit yet.
- At the same time I like wing collars and bow ties and I want to wear them.
- And the suit is made by a midnight blue mohair which could have been easily a dinner suit fabric.
- And at the same time 90% of the guests at the Munich Philharmonic are so poor dressed that it does not matter at all, that I am mixing the formality. Most people are wearing short socks exposing their leg skin and hair. Who are they to judge any kind of rule violations.
