I am looking for a light brown / fawn covert in a topcoat weight (16-18oz.), but am not seeing much of a selection in the books. The Fox covert is a bit too brown, as is the Minnis offering.

Do members have any recommendations? I remember Harrisons had a large envelope showcasing their covert designs a few years ago, but I have been unable to find that amongst the books.

Dear Badden,

the Minnis too brown?
Have you seen a swatch, or are you making a judgement based on their online catalogue? I had one made up some time ago, using their cloth. It is a classic fawn as it should be...

Hi David – I did see a swatch in person, and thought it to be on the darker end. I’ll take another look.

WE made a test of a beautiful shade of covert coat in the Cloth Club awhile back. It could be made if there is interest. It is more of a sage, lovat color with less brown.

Cheers
