I have a number of jackets made by an ex Anderson and Sheppard cutter - tailored by an A & S independent out worker. The original cutter has unfortunately passed away. To cut to the quick I would like the extension on the shoulders reduced, but I want the alterations to be completed with hand- sewn armholes as per the originals. Anyone know of an alterations tailor capable and willing for such work?
I would need the tailor to be London based.

Is this Brian Russell? Perhaps whoever inherited/bought his nameplate will be looking after old clients and could take care of it.

Thank you for your reply. My first though too, but one can't expect too much interest from a successor I guess.

Why not? They have your pattern on file, you know the address--- no harm in a little relationship-building.

Any company will tell you it is far easier and cheaper to farm existing clients than going out and hunting new ones. They should welcome you with open arms and while you wait perhaps peruse some new cloths they have just got in.... :)

Good luck in either case.

Go into A&S, tell them the problem...my guess is they will most likely make the alteration you are looking for.
