"The way you wear your hat, the way you sip your tea, the memory of all that" means....a new Eden in Paris.

Eden in Paris...it has become a classic LL cloth. And it is going be made again (as promised.) This Eden will be strolling the Place de la Concorde in a new quality, vintage flannel of 17 ozs (480 gms). Yes, a real old time flannel from the past!

So get your requests in to me at flank speed because the new design has been finalized and the order is going in soon. We expect to have the cloth in six weeks and this is just the beginning of some new CC creations...stay tuned.

The cloth will be available for Steed customers to enjoy the benefits of the conditions recently announced.

"No, no they can't that away from us.." ..if we refuse to let em! :D

PS Listening to Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong sing this song it occurred to me that in the Cloth Club we are resisting decline nobly. Thanks to all of you for your continuing support.

Cheers

Please tell us more about the new cloth, and how it will differ from the previous edition.

The main difference is going to be weight 13-14 ozs vs 17 ozs flannel. That added weight will give the cloth richer coloring, better drape and increased durability. The cloth may come out just a touch darker but not much. And I would like to make the windowpane at the Agnelli level, that is 2.5 x 3".

This is going to be the year of the Flannel for me. I have grown, in my advancing decrepitude, more and more sensitive to the warmth and softness of this marvelous cloth. I was wearing a 13 ozs Lesser GB in DB the other day at lunch, buttoned up and feeling like in pajamas such was the comfort.

Cheers

Michael
