I know you are probably not in the mood, but can we re-iterate the elegant canvas choices that exist for hot weather wear, the EG leather-and-canvas model aside, a classic that I find too dandy-ish (NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT...)

I have an old pair of Allen Edmonds, in natural linen with vibramsole---------somewhat rigid, curiously but very elegant looking, not too dandyish...

I have inquired elsewhere about classic (linen or canvas) espadrilles for summer to no avail. Of oourse no one makes my size, and bespoke espadrilles? Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Actually, having espadrilles made especially for you (at least special order) is the norm in Madrid, at least according to the NY Times.
