Hi, I have noticed that on certain patterns there seems to be a trompe l'oeil effect which can be very interesting. Certain greys with a silvery greenish rope stripe can, I think, almost look brown in a certain light. I find the PB Universal (74101), which is navy with a pink rope....to almost look a purplish brown in a certain light. This, I feel, adds a lot to its appeal. Does anyone agree or should I make a long overdue appointment to have my eyes tested?
On the Navy with pink stripe issue...can anyone recommend a similar pattern in perhaps a more refined finish than the pb?... thanks, Rowly

Try Harrisons of Edinburgh and Barbera in Italy. Truly beautiful cloths.

Regarding testing your eyes, every two years is a good idea until you turn 65, at which point you should be tested every year.
