Dear Gentlemen
I have added 4 new areas in the Edward Green photo section 1/ will be photos of our ready made shoes 2/ will be photos of our new ready made developments (which you will be amongst the first to see) 3/ will be photos of our bespoke samples ( not customers shoes) and 4/ will be pictures of the bespoke making process, every thing from last making to polishing.
A lot of these sections have no photos in at the moment, but i will add them slowly over time, I have however posted some new pictures of actual bespoke samples.
Kind regards
Tony
I
many new pictures
Thank you for the new pictures, Tony. They're beautiful.
Would it be possible for you to post a picture of something in bullfrog leather? Or if you don't have a picture of a finished shoe, perhaps just a picture of the leather? I confess that I've been intrigued by it ever since I first saw it mentioned on the website.

Dear members,
If I remember correctly, Tony told me all his samples fit the creator himself. Tony, am I right?
Love those Kudus!
Best regards,
Miguel

Hi Mguel
Yes you are correct, most of the last's for the smaple were made using my foot measure, so if i decide that a certain pair of smples has run its course you may very well find them on my feet the next time you see me
John, i have a pair of bull frog shoes but they are only at the fitting stage, i will post a picture of them and a skin.
Kind regards
Tony

Dear Tony,
Wow, that bullfrog derby is something! How durable is the leather, and what are the qualities that make it suitable for shoes?
As for the bespoke samples, some of them are ladies loafers correct? Does that mean that you also make bespoke womens footwear?
Regards,
Jan

Hi Jan
Yes i make ladies too, in time i am going to try and produce someladies samples with higher heels.
The bull frog would have about the same properties as croc, it would certainly be stronger than lizard or snake.

Thanks for the pictures, Tony. That looks completely different from what I imagined! Would it be fair to say that the toe and vamp on that shoe is about as much as you can get out of a piece of bullfrog hide? I wouldn't imagine that a wholecut would be possible unless it were for a very small foot.Tony wrote: John, i have a pair of bull frog shoes but they are only at the fitting stage, i will post a picture of them and a skin.
Probably no commission with the bullfrog just yet, Jan, but it is extremely interesting, and, dare I say it, attractive.
Dear Tony,
The bullfrog shoe pictures are very interesting! Thanks.
From which tropical land do these little creatures come from? And where are the skins tanned/dyed? Do you dye them or modify/antique them at your workshop?
Cheers!

John,
I struggled to get that monkshoe out of the bull frog skin, i actually used 6 skins for 1 pair, there is no way i could get a wholecut shoe out of a skin, it would have to be a style that has a few sections, if the guy whose shoes you saw in the picture had any bigger feet I would not have been able to make them.
Miguel,
The skins I beleive are south American, but i am not really sure where.
All the tanning is done in the Uk by a company that specialise in Bull frog and snake skins, Although we do dye some of the skins ourself so that we can colour match, the skins come to us completly white.

Tony,
Thanks for the photos. The bullfrog looks unique, however my thought upon seeing shoes made from exotic skins is always - I'd pay extra for calf.
