The Coop2 as an odd jacket

Breaking the rules, I ordered a length of the LL suiting Coop2 for an odd jacket. Unfortunately, I didn't do it deliberately. I just didn't notice that the Coop2 is a suiting.

Anyhow, I've discovered that it goes easily with dark blue and even brown trousers. Concerning the coat: The shoulders are without padding. I just had to try that. I'll not do that next time. I think I need a bit of that.

Keep breaking the rules, the soft coat looks great on you. The Coops2 works very well as a sportscoat.

I think you can wear it with a lot of trousers colors and fabrics (moleskin, cords.)

I don't think you need any structure at all.This coat is very well cut, the armholes are snug, and the shoulder line is about right.Your tailor did a fine job and it looks very good on you.

You might not be accustomed to seeing yourself in a coat with no shoulder padding, but objectively it looks just fine on you. Depending on the substantiality of the cloth, your tailor may find a modest amount of padding necessary, but I think you may have many unpadded coats made. Especially if you joined the heavyweight section of the Cloth Club!
