Gentlemen...

I wanted to get your opinions before I have a pair of shoes made. I recently spoke with John Garner at EG and he confirmed that they have some Whiskey SC leather in stock to make a pair of shoes for me. I would welcome your ideas for what to have made and appreciate any and all suggestions.

Cheers,
Bill

I recently had a pair of Windsors made in their burgundy shell and it appears to be an excellent style for cordovan.

That is a very fine looking shoe!! What would you think about having a pair of Ecton's made in shell?

I would be interested if EG can do the same skin sticthing on shell as they do with calf on Ecton or Dover, but I doubt it. Please post what you find out. Thanks.

"Won't" may be the "operative word", as such stitching can be done on cordovan. But a good craftsman knows his limitations.

I traded emails w/ EG and you are correct, they won't do it....

However, I spoke w/ Tony Gaziano and he WILL do it... One pair of G&G Hove in Whiskey sc is in the works... Pictures when they arrive... 8)

Cheers...

I think that a Monmouth or Cardiff could work well in that color/material.
