Gentlemen:
It appears I may have managed to secure a first fitting with the good Mr Mahon after all. As before, I would be very grateful for any feedback regarding members' experiences with Tom. The vast majority of what I have heard has been overwhelmingly positive.
Many thanks for all comments.
Mr Thomas Mahon

I can only comment on how I find him as a professional within the trade, as a fellow cutter. He has always been a very kind and knowledgeable person within the trade, and I have never heard a bad word about him, in the way that he works, or the way that he interacts with his team of craftsmen.
He is very skilled at his style of cutting a variation of the Anderson & Sheppard/Scholte style. He tends to cut a more waisted variant, though maintaining the softness.
The question really is whether his style of cutting suits what you require, and really that is the question that everyone should be asking. On the whole the top craftsman in and around the trade, are honorable, and should be a pleasure to deal with, however if there is not a natural fit in terms of how you see the final garment and how they see it, there really is little point in trying to force the person to do something against the aesthetic he holds, it is better to continue the search for the person who does. Please don't misunderstand me in that there is always a little give and take within the sartorial experience, but if your ideas are fundamentally different, that is as discussed above the time to find a better fit.
Good luck, and I hope you enjoy the journey.

There's not much more I can add. If you like the drape cut, I'd recommend Tom in a heartbeat.

I quite agree. I've seen Tom at work, I've seen his stuff, and as a tailor I can only say he's very much worth his salt.
Thomas has cut five or six suits for me and I highly recommend him. He knows his work and has been around for many years. He also has very good coat- and trouser makers working for him and he nicely involves the customer in the bespoke process. After the initial cloth selection I required two fittings and a total of approx. six months for the finished product.
He is a great cutter and is also very pleasant to deal with. If you like the soft/draped look of his coats you will not be disappointed.
