Both are the same size and width, and fit me fine (Vass only offers a standard width). F has more toe space and is also a tad wider. EG's upper is much softer after initial break in. Vass's upper requires no break in and does not stretch as much as EG. No antiquing on the Vass. Vass has lasted trees. EG shoetrees are for 82 and 888. They fit D and E widths (202 and 606 share another type of shoetree).
I love both. They are very elegant and understated, and must be seen it the flesh to be appreciated.
