No. In Green, I wear 11.5 D. Tony told me that's what I should wear in G&G, too. But I tried on several fitting samples and 11 E worked better. Sadly, I ordered these before he made his fitting samples. Happily, they screwed up the size.

My derby's arrived, also in Polo suede, with the sole protectors:





The color is less "red" than the photos suggest. Very sexy shoes, and I 'm not a shoe guy, nor given to objectifying shoes.

The coloring on my shoe is much closer to Manton's than my photos suggest. I think it is my too bright flash causing some color distortion. A word about fitting on G&G:

I was not really successful in getting a good fit with EG 202 last: they measured me (with their unscrupulous surcharge) as 5 1/2 D. It was unwearable. The second iteration was in 5 E, which is better, but still very, very, snug in the width, and poorly proportioned in appearance. So uncomfortable, that I rarely wear the EG. Even a trip to London failed to bring forth a try on for sizing in EG (they are from the "trust me" or "break it in" school of salesmanship). caveat emptor

Tony had me wear the EG 5 E 202 last, when I placed my order, and felt that I should get his MTO in 5 E, with his round toe last. I must say it fits very, very, well. Decidedly different than EG's 5 E. G&G is a bit more generous in the width and shoe appears longer without any extra room felt in the toes or heel. The proportions are just beautiful, and my photos don't do the shoes justice. G&G shoe does not feel as rigid, for the lack of a better word, and for me they are very comfortable upon even the first wearing. I think this confirms the rule that if a shoe is not comfortable initially it's not likely to improve with use.

How much for these beauties, in dollars? Also, why did you opt for rubber toppies instead of heal and toe taps? I remember for a while people on the forum were always trying to order steel toe taps from their shoemaker. I am not a big fan of toppies though of course, those are very, very nice.
